No artist of any genre these days would argue with the fact that everything has been done before and the only thing you can hope to accomplish is to do something a bit better or a bit different than what's gone before. That's what I love about Grouplove's new single "Tongue Tied". There is absolutely nothing original in this song, there is something cliched about it, right down to the "ooh yeah" in the chorus and yet, there is a self-awarness here that makes this song incredibly fun to listen to. I love the video as well and think the direction is right-on. This is what pop musicians should be aspiring too.
